Lake, Smit & Partners’ breast cancer awareness month donation is an annual event, now in its 10th year.
On Thursday, 08 October 2020, the event was held at the Just for Women Digital Mammography Centre which involved a cheque handover to two non-profit organisations, namely Reach for Recovery and The Highway Hospice.
Each year, a percentage of all mammograms performed during the month of October are set aside for this specific donation. These two organisations were the proud recipients of donations amounting to R88 000 respectively.
Lake, Smit & Partners is proud to aid in the effort to support breast cancer survivors and terminally ill patients by recognising these two organisations.
Almost all breast cancer survivors will tell you that receiving a life-altering diagnosis and hearing the words ‘you have cancer’ changes you in more ways than you can imagine.
