For those looking for a good cause to support, don’t miss ASANDÉ’s ‘Sip ‘n Learn’ virtual event on Women’s Day, 9 August 2021.
The event comes in light of the ongoing rape epidemic in South Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and is catered to anyone wanting to make a difference in what seems to be a never-ending crisis facing the women of Africa. All profits from ticket sales will be donated to the Rape Crisis Cape Town Trust (SA) and The Mother’s Union (DRC) assisting in the support of victims of rape.
Speakers include Rape Crisis Cape Town Trust representative; change agent and communications specialist in the financial sphere, Nande Boss and Asandé founder, Georgi Kapepula, who will educate guests on the realities of the rape epidemic in SA and DRC, provide them with practical tools to mobilise them to make a difference. There will be an opportunity to shop for merchandise where the proceeds go toward the relief of rape victims.
