The Playhouse Company is currently delighting audiences with its dazzling Christmas Season entertainment roster. This climaxes with three eagerly awaited Playhouse productions next week: Comedy Explosion with Dance; It’s Beautiful at the Ballet; and a Christmas Carols Concert.
Comedy Explosion with Dance
This glittering new Playhouse production combines the formidable eThekwini talent line-up of the popular Nateshwar Dance Academy, and Kathak dancer Manesh Maharaj, ringing the changes on the magic of Bollywood, and classical Indian dance, spiced with the levity of celebrity star of stage and screen, Jailoshini Naidoo. Performances are on 22 and 23 December.
It’s Beautiful at the Ballet
Presented in association with South African National Dance Trust, this lustrous showcase of leading SA dancers performing works by choreographers Veronica Paeper, Adele Blank, Sean Bovim and Dale Hurst, accompanied by the KZNPO, is not to be missed. Catch it on 22 & 23 December.
Christmas Carols Concert
The world’s best loved Christmas Carols will be performed by the renowned Playhouse Chorale on 23 December, conducted by the multi-talented maestro Juan Burgers, classically trained concert pianist, composer, singing teacher, and choral director. The audience is welcome to sing along at this festive event.
