Golfing enthusiasts supported the South African Bone Marrow Registry’s (SAMBR) annual KZN Charity Golf Day, held on the rolling greens of the beautiful Durban Country Club. The event – which included arrival drinks, lunch, watering holes, dinner, an auction, goodie bags and a prize-giving – saw gents of all ages and golfing handicaps making a day of it for a very worthy cause. Giving patients hope for a second chance at life and growing an ethnically diverse donor registry are SAMBR’s biggest goals. Profits raised on the day will go directly towards the organisation’s patient assistance programme which helps families who are not able to cover the cost of a donor search.
