Cerése Hair Design’s owner Cerése Bouwer – known as the Blonde Doctor due to specialising in blonding services – and her team continue to get ahead in the world of hair. Now, beauty and slimming services are also available from this Hillcrest salon.
With 13 years in the hairdressing industry and having studied at Terenzo International Hairdressing in Johannesburg, Cerése knows how to take blonding to the next level. This she accomplishes by solely believing in and using Goldwell’s Bond Pro System technology, which protects the hair bonds – hair bonds are responsible for the shape, strength, elasticity and shine which characterises our hair. She says this system ensures that the integrity of your hair is always in great shape.

Goldwell Kerasilk has just been reformulated and rebranded and Cerése was fortunate to have been invited to the relaunch at Hazendal Wine Estate in Cape Town.
“It was a phenomenal experience and I’m excited to announce that Cerése Hair Design is stocking the full Kerasilk range, including the retail and keratin and specialist treatments, which is 100 percent vegan and also curly girl friendly, meaning no silicones, parabens and sulphate free.”
Cerése says her favourite product for Spring is the new Goldwell Kerasilk Recovery Mask as it delivers intense moisture, especially after a long, dry winter season. She says that hydration is key for beautiful, revitalised hair. For those blessed with a head of curls, Carmel Veron specialises in curly hair shaping and styling using the Curly Girl method and 100 percent curly girl friendly products.
Stylist Marisa Bronkhorst is a master colourist and her favourite liquid tool from Goldwell, is Pure Pigments. It’s a direct dye additive known for creating ‘Color Elumenation’.

Also sporting a new look, the salon interior is now shaded in a lovely natural colour pallet, and a redesigned logo is displayed. The natural lighting inside the salon has also increased with the addition of a skylight; and as Cerése says, what better way than to see lovely hair colour than in natural light. The refreshment bar has some added treats and you can enjoy a full, open-air, hair experience in the fully equipped outdoor salon, enjoying a distinctive, tranquil atmosphere.
Clients are also not neglected in the beauty department as Mariette Bouwer is the owner of Bodysense Laser Lipo. Services include HIFU treatments – a noninvasive face and body tightening and rejuvenation procedure, slimming and cellulite treatments and much more.
