Don’t miss Clansthal Conservancy’s fundraising Seasonal Craft Market in a rolling garden that offers shade and beautiful sea views. With 48 unique stalls on site, you can shop till you drop from a massive variety of handmade crafts made locally by people dedicated to conscious living. There are also loads of homemade food stalls so if you get there early you can have breakfast, stay for lunch and take a moment to relax to the sounds of music. The market takes place on Sunday, 1 October from 9am to 2pm at 111 Pig & Whistle Drive, Clansthal.  All funds raised will be used to support the conservancy’s environmental projects. If you’re over 50 and looking for a great way to stay fit and make new friends, then why not join Super Troupers, a fabulous group of women affiliated with the South African Seniors Fitness Association (SASFA) who get together on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to enjoy an hour of specially choreographed Rhythmic Exercises. Encouraged by SASFA qualified instructor Patricia Victor, everybody works at their own pace and capability to music from the ‘good ol’ days’. The focus is on flexibility, balance, poise, coordination, stamina, muscle strengthening and cardiovascular exercises. Classes are Mondays from 9am to 10am and Fridays from 8.30am to 9.30am at Holy Trinity Church in Hillcrest, and on Wednesdays from 9.15am to 10.15am at Le Domaine in Hillcrest. Babies R Us Mama Club, in partnership with Parent Sense, offers an opportunity to discover the secrets to successfully navigating the journey of parenthood. Moms will have an opportunity to join the full day event which includes postpartum topics like, sex after birth, returning to work, the importance of pelvic health, reading your baby’s cues, introducing solids, mental health awareness, and relationships with your partner and family. The event is particularly suited to moms in their fourth trimester or who’ve recently given birth, offering them an opportunity to meet new friends, share insights, get advice and enjoy a delicious lunch. Face your fears, uncover your courage and be inspired to find your flow. Finding your Flow Women’s Wellness Event, in association with CANSA, is hosted by Nia teacher Fiona Furniss and life coach and breast cancer survivor Candice King. The morning is dedicated to celebrating womanhood, nurturing your well-being and raising awareness about breast cancer. Highlights include a Nia movement workshop, empowering talks, stories of survival, and the chance to connect with like-minded women dedicated to embracing wellness. The event will be on Saturday, October 7 at St Martin’s Church, Durban North from 9am to 12pm. Get ready to roar with laughter as radio personalities and close friends Rory Petzer and Carol Ofori. Taking to the stage together for the first time, this will be Rory’s first official one-man-show in Durban and, as his opening act, Carol’s comedic debut. The duo will be sharing anecdotes from their experiences in radio and their lives in Durban … from Rory’s escapades living up on the hill with his partner and two dogs, to Carol’s tales of moving cities with her two young children. The duo’s good friend Carvin H Goldstone, is excited to be the host of the show that takes place at The Barnyard, Suncoast on Saturday, October 14, at 1pm. Tickets are limited and R180 each. The Boxer Super Run is set to create an unforgettable experience for everyone participating, as it debuts in Durban this month. Runners can choose from one of two 5km waves: the Open Wave – perfect for club runners, schools and the more serious runner – or the Super Social Wave for those who’d like to enjoy a fun day out with family, friends or co-workers. And, you can bring your flair for fashion to the event by dressing up. The action will close off with the Elite Men’s and Elite Women’s Waves, where South Africa’s top athletes will vie for the titles of King and Queen. The event takes place on Sunday, October 15. It starts at Snell Parade via Lagoon Drive and finishes at Blue Lagoon Park. Starting times are 7am for the Open Wave, between 8am and 9.30am for the Super Social Wave, 9.45am for Elite Women and 10am for Elite Men.
