Not even the grey skies and intermittent rain could dampen the excitement at Isibukosezwe Creche and Preschool this morning as Hearts in Hands Food Bank hosted a little party for the children and staff to celebrate the completion of the exterior phase of their refurbishment project in Mhlombe!

Partypacks were dished out – thanks to Valencia and her children for sponsoring, packing and putting them together much to the delight of the children. There was also cake, juice, snacks, treats, face paint, balloon art, a jumping castle, new bikes and all the kiddies and staff went home with fresh bread courtesy of Premier Foods!

No more leaking roof! Fixed, sealed and waterproofing installed, brand new gutters and facia boards, freshly sanded, filled and plastered and painted walls including a beautifully bright mural by Giffy to mention a few impact items undertaken in this phase with heartfelt thanks and gratitude for all the wonderfully generous companies, donors and supporters that have helped reach this milestone, and to Orange Heart for their incredible support in this phase in particular! There are still other tasks that need to be completed, like new flooring and plumbing for the children’s ablutions, as well as securing porridge donations for the children, so any further support is welcomed and appreciated. and would be so grateful for any further support.
