Meet Hayley Carmen Jackson, a vibrant 15-year-old who, despite her young age, is facing a tough battle against Ewing Sarcoma.
Diagnosed on 17 October 2023, after experiencing pain in her left hip, Hayley has been courageously enduring bi-weekly chemotherapy sessions, completing 7 out of 14 rounds to date. Ewing Sarcoma, a ruthless cancer that often targets children and young adults, has thrown her into a challenging journey of strength and resilience.
The news shattered Hayley’s family, leaving them speechless and in tears. Now, as she approaches a lifesaving operation in April to remove the tumour and repair her pelvis by using part of her tibia, the financial burden is overwhelming. They’re in desperate need of funds to make this crucial operation possible. Hayley’s surgery will be done in Cape Town and she will need to stay in Cape Town for the duration of the surgery and recovery, this has a massive financial impact on her family.
