With a perfect blend of world-class entertainment, a bespoke artisanal market, family-friendly activities, and magnificent Winter weather, the recent four-day ZA Fest 2024 set a new standard for events in Durban. Hosted at Manor House in Salt Rock, it was a spectacular hit, attracting more than 9 000 enthusiastic festival goers. While music lovers revelled in some of the best performances (we loved the Ndlovu Youth Choir and Johnny Clegg) by local musicians, art lovers feasted their eyes on some of South Africa’s best visual art works in vibrant oils, delicate watercolours, ethnic art and stunning photography. A highlight was the much-loved KAMERS/Makers artisanal pop-up market that made its first appearance in KZN, enriching the festival with a standout shopping experience.
