Durban’s oldest commercial gallery, the Elizabeth Gordon Gallery, has a new home. Having been established in 1976, the gallery has moved from its home of 22 years’ on Florida Road to a lively space on Montpelier Road in Morningside. To celebrate, owner Joy Reynolds hosted a Paintings, Prosecco, Pâté and Pichulik launch that was well-supported by family, friends, designers, artists and art lovers across Durban, who flocked to explore the gallery’s current exhibition featuring the work of local artists as well as a Bridgevale in June oil by Scott Bredin. Guests also got to browse the Verandah Room, decorated with African-inspired décor and gifts that included a new range of jewellery by Pichulik and a heavenly range of tailor-made luxury candles and diffusers by S.O.H Collections.
