Thrift for a cause

In spite of days of rain and a few torrential downpours, volunteers from The Robin Hood Foundation forged ahead with unpacking and setting up for the NPO’s most recent Thrift Market. Their efforts were definitely not in vain, as the event was incredibly well supported. Held over two days under a massive outdoor tent, the event, in partnership with Westville Country Club and Thekwini Motor Group, was about more than just shopping for pre-loved goods at crazy low prices – it was about community, compassion, and coming together to create change. Each item put up for sale – and there were shoes, dresses, gym tights, nightgowns and more – became a beacon of hope, helping the foundation raise much-needed funds to continue making a sustainable difference in the lives of disadvantaged communities.
