What began as a simple idea to install a jungle gym and container classroom has grown into a fully equipped pre-primary school in Botha’s Hill. At a joyful ribbon-cutting at The Valley Trust, Chic Mamas Do Care unveiled the transformation. Three classrooms, a new kitchen, proper ablution facilities and water tanks to help address local supply issues. Thanks to funding from M&G Investments, local sponsors, and the incredible work of builder Peter van Vuuren, this all-women team turned vision into reality. With a strong focus on early childhood development, Chic Mamas continues to uplift education in the region through its namesake thrift shop, and they’re not stopping here. A new outdoor sports arena is already in the works, proving just how far care, collaboration and community can go.
