Behind every successful brand is someone who understands that marketing is about far more than likes, followers or algorithms. For Robyn Briggs, founder of Fresh Perspective Media Marketing, it’s about telling authentic stories, building meaningful relationships and helping businesses become recognised, remembered and trusted within their communities.
When Robyn Briggs started Fresh Perspective Media Marketing, situated in Westville, she wanted to do more than manage social media pages.
“I love helping businesses tell their story,” she says. “Every business is different, and I enjoy finding what makes each one unique and sharing that with the right audience.”
Robyn offers a full range of marketing services, including social media management, content creation, photography, videography, website design and live event coverage. She works with businesses across KwaZulu-Natal, from schools and sports clubs to restaurants, retailers and service providers.
“No two clients are the same, so I never believe in a one-size-fits-all approach,” she explains. “The best results come from getting to know the people behind the business and understanding what they want to achieve.”
Building strong relationships with her clients is one of the parts of the job she enjoys most.
“I see myself as an extension of their team rather than an outside supplier. When you understand a business properly, you can create marketing that feels genuine and connects with people.”
Robyn is also passionate about supporting local communities. Fresh Perspective regularly partners with charities, community organisations and local events, helping to showcase the people making a positive difference.
“I love being involved in projects that bring people together. There’s something special about using marketing to shine a light on good work happening in our communities.”
While digital trends are constantly changing, Robyn believes one thing remains the same.
“People connect with authenticity. Great marketing isn’t about chasing every trend – it’s about being consistent, building trust and creating content that reflects who you really are.”
For Robyn, that’s what Fresh Perspective is all about: helping businesses grow by telling their stories with creativity, honesty and purpose.

Five marketing tips from Robyn
- Tell your story, don’t just sell your product.
People connect with people before they connect with businesses. Share the story behind your brand, your values and what makes you different.
- Be consistent.
Posting once in a while won’t build a strong brand. Consistent, quality content helps your audience recognise, trust and remember your business.
- Invest in professional visuals.
High-quality photography and video create a strong first impression and help showcase your products, services and personality in a way that captures attention.
- Engage with your community.
Marketing isn’t a one-way conversation. Support local initiatives, celebrate your customers and build genuine relationships that extend beyond social media.
- Start with strategy.
Before creating content, understand your goals and your audience. A clear strategy ensures every post, campaign and event works towards growing your brand.
