Joburg Ballet’s dancers returned to the company’s studios under strict regulations late in June, and – like many of us during the times of Covid-19 – it’s turned to technology to connect with the broader ballet world.

Here are some online classes and activities to take note of:

Joburg Ballet Open Classes: Visitors may join company members in a professional class with our regular and guest teachers at 10am via Zoom for R100.

Private classes for Joburg Ballet dancers and invited guests.

Joburg Ballet Off Stage: At 7pm on Instagram. Live interviews by company members.


Joburg Ballet Master Classes with Artistic Director Iain MacDonald: On the last Saturday of the month at 5pm via Zoom.
Dates: July 25 , August 29, September 26, October 24 or 31, November 28 and December 26. R250 and additional donations welcome.
