Created by SA born Silvana Bottega (who describes it as liquid sunshine in a sip), the gin’s already won two gold medals. There are two versions … Clifton 1 and Clifton 2 (just like the numbered protected coves of Clifton beaches). Clifton 1 is a sipping gin, all orange and lemon peel, lavender and fynbos, and is best served on the rocks. Clifton 2 – the cocktail gin – is eminently mixable. With hues of the sea, it’s all about marine and fynbos botanicals, cucumber and buchu, all working in harmony to capture the spirit of the Atlantic Ocean.
