There’s something rather special about 350 women coming together to sing, laugh and simply have a wonderful time. And that’s exactly what audiences can look forward to when Sing Sussa Sing returns.
Bigger, brighter and bursting with personality, this year’s production brings women of different ages and backgrounds together for a one-of-a-kind mass choir experience where music, stories, laughter and togetherness take centre stage.
Under the direction of award-winning conductor Christo Burger, Sing Sussa Sing is about much more than singing in harmony. It’s about the incredible energy that happens when hundreds of women share a stage and an experience together.
Adding even more colour to the production is beloved South African storyteller Nataniël, who joins the show with his trademark humour, storytelling and unmistakable stage presence.
Melissa Swart takes on hosting duties and will be joined by her sister, Melinda Bam, Miss South Africa 2011. Together, they bring warmth, style, humour and a wonderful dose of Sussa spirit to the production.
The music is arranged and led by Janine Neethling, with a talented live ensemble featuring Werner Spies on bass, Peter Auret on drums and percussion, Mauritz Lotz on guitar and Gerrit Koorsen on cello.
“Sing Sussa Sing is about much more than just a choir,” says Christo. “It’s about the incredible energy that is created when 350 women sing together, laugh together and fill a stage together. The audience doesn’t just watch the experience, they become part of it.”
With the full, uplifting sound of a mass choir, familiar music, beautiful arrangements, stories, humour and plenty of Sussa spirit, Sing Sussa Sing 2026 promises a joyful and stylish theatre experience that the whole family can enjoy.
