Lunching in style at Ballito’s hottest new restaurant, 45 On Eat Street

The Get It team were invited to lunch at Ballito’s hottest new restaurant, 45 On Eat Street and, well, we couldn’t say no to a meal at what is already one of the North Coast’s top eateries!

It’s easy to see why 45 On Eat Street has become a firm favourite for Ballito families and friends to meet, eat and repeat in a sophisticated yet casual environment.

Making ourselves comfortable at the contemporary restaurant was easy as we perused the extensive menu, which offers a wide selection of well-known dishes delivered in exciting and creative ways.

We ordered a sushi platter to start and we were blown away by the quality and freshness of the fish. For mains I chose the Beef Fillet served with creamy porchini mushrooms, thyme, mustard and black pepper sauce alongside a bed of exotic mushrooms, roasted beetroot and baby carrots with the most beautiful French-inspired pommes anna (sliced, layered potatoes cooked in butter), which I deconstructed in awe.

The rest of the team had spicy Lamb Curry, a Seafood Platter and a main portion of Prawns, which all looked and tasted incredible.

Well known for their show-stopping desserts, it was hard to choose just one off the menu. Each team member chose something different and watching each dish being plated in front of us had us oohing and aahing! For my dessert I chose the Deep-Fried Chocolate. Other desserts included the White Chocolate Balls and the Homemade Sorbet.

We left 45 On Eat Street in awe, vowing that we would be back to try more of their meals and, of course, work our way through the dessert menu! Details: 45 on Eat Street, Lifestyle Centre Ballito, 087 460 0085, www.45oneatstreet.co.za
