Q: What does being a woman mean to you and how does this impact what you do?
Women seem to be able to bring out the best in all of us. They have the strength and tenacity normally attributed to men, combined with the softness and nurturing women are generally recognised for. And then they have a secret ingredient that holds it all together – they can multi-task.
Q: How do you empower other women?
I try to set an example to other women. I work hard, making the most of every day; take any opportunity that comes my way, which also means I make lots of mistakes. I’ve learned to accept that these are all part of the circle of life and that if I can keep my sense of humour, I will be fine. I hope that other women will know they have the ability to overcome the inevitable challenges on the road to becoming their best selves.

Q: What does being a woman mean to you and how does this impact what you do?
It means being nurturing, kind and loving. It means leaning into my feminine side with grace and poise, and being audacious and sassy. We have so much life within us and can create life, not only by birthing life – but women just know how to feed dreams, plant seeds in others and help those seeds grow into opportunities and ideas.
Q: How do you empower other women?
I use my platforms every day to empower women. I have a feature called Women Crush Wednesday on East Coast Radio, where I sit with different female trail blazers in different industries, and invite them to share their victories, challenges and lessons. It also doesn’t hurt to compliment a woman if you see her doing something admirable or just being cute.

STACEY NORMAN
Q: What does being a woman mean to you and how does this impact what you do?
Being raised by an incredible mother, my girl power was instilled from birth. The ability to adapt and shape myself with both softness and strength is my gift, and it’s a gift that every woman has. That very magical filter is applied to every relationship I form, every job I take, every decision I make. Has it affected how other people see me simply because I am a woman? Sure. But it’s never held me back. If anything, it’s propelled me forward.
Q: How do you empower other women?
I’m a girl’s girl. I show up for the women in my life by being self-aware enough to not project my insecurities onto them. There’s enough room for all of us. And we must take up space. It’s our duty to build each other up.

Q: What does being a woman mean to you and how does this impact what you do?
‘Leadership’, ‘compassion’, ‘courage’ and ‘nurturing’ are just a few words that come to mind when I think about what it means to be a woman. I believe that inculcated into the concept of being a woman is the upliftment of all people. Both myself and my company have been involved in fundraising efforts with the Gift of the Givers Foundation, as well as for local orphanages and old-age homes in my hometown.
Q: How do you empower other women?
I believe in empowerment through the provision of physical, emotional and monetary support. Whether it be providing a meal, clothing, knowledge or giving of time, love and a willingness to listen and encourage, it all makes a difference, no matter the magnitude.

To me a woman is love, strength, beauty, compassion and grace. A woman brings possibilities to life; she is a creator and a transformer. A woman is expressive and passionate yet tender and nurturing. A woman is a person you always want by your side.

I empower the beautiful women I work with inside my factory. I guide and support my fellow creatives in a space that means so much to my factory women; and give back to the community by employing and upskilling our local women.
