Nadia von Maltitz, founder and director of Cuberoo, a business established in Bloemfontein in 2017, is currently a director of four companies. Her main focus is on marketing, digital development and expanding businesses.

She grew up on a farm in Ficksburg in the Eastern Free State and completed her post-graduate studies at the University of Johannesburg. Her career started after winning an internship at DDB, well-known marketing communications network, where her clients included FNB, McDonalds and Telkom. She then moved on to Ogilvy and Mather and worked on Volkswagen and later on at FCB with clients like Albany, BMW Motorrad and Purity, and then moved to Bloem.

Cuberoo is Facebook and Google certified, with amazing design, development and social media capabilities. It has won Social Media Agency of the Year in South Africa from two different award shows, and has helped various local and national businesses. According to Nadia, it is incredibly important to manage your time well. “Your family should always come first, but you cannot drop any balls in your business if you want to play the long game. Proper planning means I can get things done and spend time with loved-ones.”

The best decision she has ever made was taking big risks, while the worst definitely has to be not trusting her gut soon enough.

Nadia advises people to just keep moving and innovating. “Stay ethical and smart
– listen to consumers and be a business that cares. If you value excellence, listen to people and put in the hours – you will excel. Also, be patient with yourself – success is an ongoing journey.”

Nadia collaborates with amazing women daily, which inspires her and gives her a sense of belonging. “We are all on this journey together, cheering each other on.

“A closed hand cannot receive. Together we can do so much more.”
