WOTM: Magda Kotze

Magda Kotze is a Sales Manager at Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa and leads one of the strongest and family oriented teams. The feat of moving from finance to a sales environment is a defining moment in her career.

“I never thought that I would get to a place where I really love what I was doing. When I was in finance I only spoke to people over the phone and I was an introvert. Now in my role as a sales manager, I have become a people’s person and I love every moment of it!”

What sets Magda apart from her competitors is the fact that she always tries to give excellent customer service by understanding the complexities and helping their businesses grow.

In 2022, the one thing she wants to reinforce is a “can-do attitude”. She believes that it is time to do away with using the pandemic as an excuse and that we need to focus on getting back on track in all aspects of our lives. “I would like to keep reinforcing this within my team so that we’re able to reach our business goals.”

When asked what mindset makes her successful she says: “My mindset is focused on ‘nothing is too difficult’. I don’t like the phrase ‘it can’t be done’. There should always be a way to do it despite challenges and with that I’m very self-driven and positive!”

Magda enjoys spending quality time with her family in her free time. “We love the bush and take occasional camping trips together to bond. I do aerobics classes three times a week and that always refreshes me. Quiet time is very important, and meditating and being thankful for what God has blessed me with, especially for the lives of my family.”
