“As competitive as women are in the corporate world, I believe it is vital for us to stand together through engaging, sharing ideas, coaching, and mentoring.”
Sylvia Nkomazana is the sales manager at Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA). Her role entails interacting with their world-class brands and selling them to their customers.
“I lead a sales team who are dedicated in getting our brands out there by executing our outlets daily while servicing our customers. I am constantly negotiating with my customers to ensure that I bring value to them, as well as CCBSA,” she says.
Sylvia says her kids and overall family are her biggest motivators in life. “They keep me grounded and allow me to be me. They are the reason I push harder daily as I try to create a better future for us all,” she says.
She adds that her vision stretches her and keeps her going. “My mentors motivate me a lot, having people I look up to helps reminding me where I want to be.”
When asked what some of her biggest achievements are, Sylvia says it definitely is being a mommy to her beautiful 4-year-old twins Dimpho and Didintle. “I count this as more of a blessing than an achievement.”
She is also proud of the fact that she manages CCBSA’s top four big national accounts and that she can keep the debtors’ book at less than 0,1% overdue balance. “Working for CCBSA with world-class brands and getting to do what I love every day is one of the biggest achievements for me.”
She says she has been fortunate enough to work for CCBSA which takes women inclusion very seriously.
“The business has been very intentional in its commitment to empower women. We have seen more women in leadership positions in CCBSA and, even better, more women occupying seats at our directorship-level positions,” she says.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her twins and family. “I also enjoy going on dates with my husband. I enjoy interior designing and lastly, I enjoy adventurous outdoor activities.”
