SHE MEANS BUSINESS: Maureen Moeti – Bloem Motor Spares

Maureen Moeti is the director of Bloem Motor Spares. She describes herself as a hardworking and driven individual who isn’t afraid of facing challenges.

“I am also very passionate about my work and would describe myself as an open and honest person who doesn’t believe in misleading others. I believe in trying to be fair to other people and to put my best foot forward in everything I do,” she says.

Maureen adds that her goal is to strive to uplift Heidedal and eventually the motor industry world.

“My motto that I hold dear is to always see the glass as half full instead of half empty, which relates to seeing the positive side in all things,” she expresses.

According to Maureen, Bloem Motor Spares was established on 14 September 2014. This year marks the 10-year anniversary of the business “by the grace of God”.

Maureen mentions that Bloem Spares started as a family dream which has been built together and has grown into an even bigger family.

“We initially started with just Bloem Spares and eventually grew into Bloem Spares and Auto Body Parts. I would also like to give my hardworking staff recognition for all their efforts in making the business a success,” she says.

Maureen further says her inspiration for this career came from the need for job creation in her community, as well as to uplift Heidedal.

“Furthermore I would like to extend my gratitude to our Heidedal supporters as well as our broader Manguang supporters. Ten years would not have been possible without their loyal support,” she expresses.

Maureen believes she means business because she is a God-fearing woman. “Without Him this would not have been possible. I am grounded in my morals and believe that patience is the key and I am a woman who eludes confidence and valour.”

In today’s fast-paced business environment, Maureen says being able to multi-task is a must-have skill for a business woman.

“Most people live under the misconception that women can’t have it all. Through my time management and organisational skills, I do my best to ensure that I put equally back into myself just as much as I do into my career,” she explains.

Outside of work Maureen enjoys travelling as well as spending well-deserved “me-time”, as well as time with family and friends. “I make time in between my schedules because time management is important to ensure that I don’t burn out, as one cannot pour from an empty cup.”
