When Elmarie launched Elmarie van Coller Properties in 2019, she knew she had found her calling. Drawn to the fast-paced nature of the property industry and the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives, she embraced every challenge with determination and purpose.
“I don’t just talk business – I do business,” she says, a philosophy that has become the foundation of both her company and her leadership style.
Elmarie believes consistency is one of the greatest ingredients for success. She prefers working smarter rather than simply working harder, a mindset that has helped her build a trusted name in the property industry.
Her entrepreneurial spirit was inspired long before she started her own business. As a young girl, she admired her father’s business skills and dreamed of one day becoming a businesswoman herself. “Before I knew it, I was that businesswoman,” she reflects.
While many measure success by financial achievements, Elmarie’s definition has evolved into something far more meaningful. “Success is not the amount of money you make, but the impact you make on the community, the clients and the legacy you leave behind.”
In real estate, she believes the greatest measure of success is not the number of properties sold, but the trust clients place in you. Repeat business and referrals are what matter most to her. “Clients become friends,” she says, highlighting the lasting relationships she has built throughout her career.
Beyond property, Elmarie is passionate about encouraging the next generation of women in business. She hopes to inspire young women to work hard, believe in themselves and become the very best version of who they were created to be. Her advice is heartfelt and simple: “Don’t measure yourself against others. You are unique and wonderfully created by God. Live a life of example.”
When the workday comes to an end, she enjoys life’s simple pleasures – a quality cup of coffee, good music and a moment to simply relax before taking on another day with the same passion and purpose that have defined her journey.
