For the founder of CPI World, Lize Hunt, success is measured not only by business growth but by the lives she touches, the relationships she builds and the legacy she leaves behind.
Like many entrepreneurs, her journey has been filled with moments that tested her resilience. Looking back, Lize believes every setback carried an opportunity for growth. “Instead of allowing difficult seasons to define me, I chose to let them refine me,” she says. Those experiences strengthened her faith, shaped her leadership style and reminded her why she started CPI World.
Her definition of success has changed over the years. While it was once about achieving goals and building a successful business, today it is centred on people.
“Success is no longer just about what we achieve, but about the legacy we build.” For her, success means earning the trust of clients, creating opportunities for her team and making a positive difference in every life the business touches.
She admits many people only see the success, not the sacrifice behind it. Building CPI World has required years of hard work and commitment. Leadership, she says, doesn’t end when the workday does.
One of the greatest influences in her life is her daughter, Tatiana, who has worked alongside her for the past eight years and now serves on CPI World’s executive team. Her fresh ideas and encouragement have inspired her to keep learning and growing as a leader.
On difficult days, she chooses to pause, refocus and tackle one challenge at a time, trusting both her instincts and her team.
Outside of business, family is her greatest source of joy and perspective. Daily moments spent with loved ones remind her why she works so hard. And after a demanding day, nothing compares to a glass of wine shared with family while watching the sunset, a simple reminder to slow down, breathe and be grateful.
