She Means Business 2026: Mirna Butler- Owner of Mirna Butler Recruitment

What began as a passion for connecting people with meaningful opportunities has grown into a group of businesses dedicated to changing lives. For Mirna Butler, success is built on relationships, integrity and creating lasting impact.

For Mirna, building a successful business has always been about more than recruitment. It has been about connecting people with meaningful opportunities and helping businesses thrive through the right talent.

That vision inspired her to establish Mirna Butler Recruitment, but as she worked closely with clients, she recognised a need for broader support. This led to the expansion of her business portfolio with LabourBridge and UIF Claim Assist, allowing her to offer practical solutions that extend beyond recruitment.

“No two days are ever the same,” she says. Her days are spent working with clients, candidates and staff, while also focusing on marketing, business development, brand growth and mentoring her team. Helping others reach their potential remains one of the most rewarding parts of her work.

Rather than chasing numbers, Mirna believes in quality over quantity. Her hands-on, personalised approach is rooted in integrity and genuine relationships, ensuring every placement and service delivers lasting value.

Her dedication has earned industry recognition, including being named a finalist in the AfriForum Sakenetwerk Entrepreneur of the Year competition and winning Best of Bloemfontein – Bloemfontein Courant Readers’ Choice Awards 2025.

While she values these achievements, she says they represent something greater than awards. “They reinforced the importance of consistency, resilience and staying true to my values.”

For Mirna, success is measured by impact. Whether she is placing someone in their dream job, helping a business grow or empowering women through her involvement with the SA Council for Businesswomen, she is passionate about opening doors for others.

Her advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is simple: “Stay consistent. Believe in your value, never be afraid to start before you feel ready, and always lead with integrity.”

Outside the office, she recharges over a good cup of coffee, quality time with loved ones and the quiet creativity of crochet.
