She Means Business 2026: Michelle Reyneke – MRD Designs

Passionate, conscientious and persistent, these are the qualities that define the woman behind a thriving full-service graphic design and printing company  that has grown through resilience, innovation and hard work.

Michelle says one of the biggest tests of her entrepreneurial journey came during the Covid-19 pandemic. “I thought the pandemic would destroy my business, but it ended up teaching me how to be truly innovative and resilient,” she says.

Faced with uncertainty, she reinvented her strategy and invested in new equipment to improve the quality of her work. “The business is stronger than ever, and that experience completely changed how I approach my entrepreneurial journey.”

Today, success means more than financial milestones. “True success is reflecting on the foundation I’ve built and recognising the progress I’ve made,” Michelle explains. She is also quick to acknowledge the support of her husband and children, whose sacrifices have contributed to both her business achievements and personal growth.

In an era shaped by artificial intelligence, Michelle remains passionate about the value of professional design. For her professional design goes far beyond aesthetics. “Every project involves strategy, understanding audiences and helping brands stand out,” she said.

To stay grounded, she starts each day with a quiet coffee before the office comes to life and heads to the gym when she needs to recharge. “If I could advise my younger self, I’d say take bolder risks, but never lose sight of family and happiness,” Michelle concludes.
