Margarita Day line-up: 4 simple Margaritas to make at home

On February 22nd, it’s time to celebrate International Margarita Day the fun way! Grab your shaker, your favourite friends and mix up these irresistible recipes. 

With only a few ingredients and maximum flavour – these recipes by Código 1530 Tequila  are perfect for sipping slowly, toasting boldly and making Margarita Day a little more mischievous.

Blanco Margarita.

Go classic with a Blanco Margarita, bursting with fresh lime and natural sweetness.

Servings: 1 | Prep time: 5 minutes

Ingredients: 

  • 2 parts Código 1530 Blanco
  • 1 part fresh Lime juice
  • ¾ part Honey syrup
  • Salt for the rim

Prepare: 

  1. Wet the rim of the margarita glass with a lime wedge and roll it in salt
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add Código 1530 Blanco, lime juice, and honey syrup
  3. Shake until cold
  4. Strain and serve over fresh ice
Cadillac Margarita.

Go luxe with a Cadillac Margarita, where Reposado’s smoky oak notes meet zesty orange liqueur.

Servings: 1 | Prep time: 5 minutes

Ingredients: 

  • 2 parts Código 1530 Reposado
  • 1 ½ parts fresh Lime juice
  • 1 part Orange liqueur
  • ½ part Honey syrup
  • Salt for the rim

Prepare: 

  1. Wet the rim of the margarita glass with a lime wedge and roll it in Salt
  2. Combine Código 1530 Reposado, orange liqueur, fresh lime juice, and honey syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice
  3. Shake until cold
  4. Strain and serve over fresh ice
Blasberry Margarita.

keep it light and playful with a Blasberry Margarita made with Rosa Tequila and a hint of honey syrup.

Servings: 1 | Prep time: 5 minutes

Ingredients: 

  • 45ml Código 1530 Rosa
  • 25ml Lime juice
  • 10ml Honey syrup
  • Handful of raspberries
  • Handful of blueberries
  • Soda water

Prepare: 

  1. Muddle berries in a shaker with lime juice
  2. Fill with ice, Rosa Tequila and Honey syrup
  3. Shake, fine-strain or double-strain and top up with soda water

Garnish: raspberries and blueberries

We invited DJ and Mixologist Mmiso Luphondo to create a Margarita for us. As a curator and creative, he crafts moods through sound and cocktails, turning everyday moments into memorable experiences. Mmiso’s Rosa Margarita is a refined twist on the classic, blending Codigó Rosa tequila with fresh lime and delicate elderflower for a light, aromatic serve that’s perfect from golden hour into the evening.

Servings: 1 | Prep time: 5 minutes

Ingredients: 

  • 50ml Código Rosa Tequila
  • 22ml fresh Lime juice
  • 15ml Elderflower liqueur
  • 5ml Honey Syrup
  • 20ml Cellulose / egg white
  • Optional: 2 dashes of Orange bitters

Prepare: 

  1. Combine all the ingredients, together with Código 1530 Rosa Tequila into a shaker
  2. Shake gently (don’t over-dilute)
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe
  4. Garnish with pineapple leaf or edible flower
