There was much to celebrate with the team who were behind the rebuild of the Centre and were looking on as the Southern Region Asset Manager of SA Corporate, Mark Mac Kaiser (in blue) officially cuts the ribbon for “The Rise of Springfield Value Centre” opening were: Delon Bhola, Sharmaine Ramsahai, Ahmed Mahomed, Llewellyn Taylor, Nathisha Singh, Arrif Shaik, Donald Mclellan after the damage caused from the riots in July 2021 which resulted in most of Springfield Value Centre having to be demolished and rebuilt.
Now over a year later they have made some excellent progress and have taken this time to strategize key movements during the rebuild. The consensus amongst the old & news tenants are elated that the Centre has now officially opened to the public, they are over the moon with the new “look & feel” and looking forward to the shoppers and offer them the best value for their money! 70% of the centre is now open to the public with the balance of the centre will be reopened by the end of the year.
Mark Mac Kaiser said that, “This was achieved by enhancing the tenant mix, introducing more efficient store sizes and locations so that shoppers are now able to enjoy comparative shopping with similar stores located in closer proximity to each other”.
He concluded at the end of his emotional speech, “welcome home and happy shopping”!
