If you’re up for a night of nostalgia, you will love A Tribute to Icons, featuring favourite hits of late icons of Hindi Cinema. Music lovers of all ages can join in on this bonanza of funat The Globe at Suncoast, courtesy of Panache International and Drisha Music Academy. Fans will relish this tribute to mega stars of their era – Lata Mageshkar, Bappi Lahiri and KK – performed by the melodious Maithili Shome, a playback singer who is eloquent in 20 different languages, and award-winning artist and star of Zee TV and Zee TV Bengali, Kushal Paul. Musicians from India will accompany both these leading young SA stars. There is one performance only on Saturday, November 5 at 7pm. 25 November A little Beethoven, Bach and Bedlam

Hilarious comedy couple Aaron McIlroy and Lisa Bobbert, have been there done that and now they’re doing something completely different … using a classical platform to make comedy. It’s called Classical Comedy and it’s for those who like and those who don’t know classical music. This never-been-done-before collab is directed by Darren King and stars The Durban City Orchestra. It will run at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre from November 25 to December 4 and, from what we’ve seen, we have no doubt it’s going to be brilliant. Details: Bookings through Computicket

8-10 November

Domestic stakeholders and international investors are invited to come together, learn, co-create, and discover the many benefits South Africa offers as an attractive offshore location. The 2022 Annual Investor Conference and BPESA Alchemy Awards in Umhlanga, is being hosted by the KZN Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (KZN EDTEA), Trade and Investment KZN (TIKZN), Invest Durban and the eThekwini Municipality. Guests at the three-day engagement can expect to be connected with sector specialists, participate in thought-provoking panel discussions, knowledge-sharing workshops, masterclasses, BPO site visits and networking sessions. If you’re a fan of boxing don’t miss ESPN Africa Boxing – hosted exclusively at Suncoast. With five main fights  and two undercard bouts on each bill, the boxing action will be held in The Globe on November 17 and again on January 26 and March 30 in 2023. This boxing series promises to host a good selection of fights betweeb some of Africa’s leading boxers. There will be at least one female bout per event, to help grow the sport and provide aspiring young female boxers with a platform. He’s gorge, he’s gifted and he’s coming to Durbs! The UK’s golden boy of the music world, Calum Scott, returns to our shores this November for his second South African Tour to celebrate his newest album Bridges.
