Don’t miss Clansthal Conservancy’s Summer Craft Market.  Visitors can enjoy a relaxing Sunday in a beautiful garden with magnificent sea views, while browsing more than 40 stalls offering a range of crafts, clothing, décor and food. There will be live music, making the experience and atmosphere that much more enjoyable. Get there early for breakfast and stay for lunch. The market takes place on Sunday, February 12 from 9am to 2pm at the delightful home of Keith and Liz Cunningham, 111 Pig & Whistle Drive, Clansthal. If you’re a fan of aloes, don’t miss the chance to see them in all their glory and enjoy a generous helping of wildlife on the side. Join one of the monthly off-road 4×4 adventures hosted, in collaboration with Monteseel Adventures and Rave Rhino & Wildlife Projects, to raise funds for the protection of the rhino in KZN. The trail explores the gorgeous terrains of a private game reserve in the KZN Midlands and the cost is R650 a vehicle which includes entrance to the reserve for your vehicle and passengers, the trail levy and a donation to the Rave Rhino Fund. Nothing beats a beautiful evening under the stars with a little shopping, followed by a sundowner after dark. If that’s right up your alley then don’t miss the Upper Highway Night Market at Shongweni Club. Entry is free, parking is free and you’ll find lots of local stalls, delicious food, art and crafts, kiddies’ activities, live music and so much more. Go and enjoy the vibe on Saturday, February 25 from 4pm to 8pm. You can bring your dogs (on leads) too!

After enjoying some massive success in the past, The Amazing Race returns to Hillcrest to take competitors on a journey that is all about fun, creativity and fundraising. Modelled on the original CBS show, The Amazing Race, this fun-filled local event features teams of up to five people (no U18s though) competing in various mental and physical challenges at secret locations in Hillcrest. Organizers (The Cows – KZN Herd) will supply the necessary clues and riddles at the start, to enable contestants to follow the route, which consists of a number of stops, at which various activities need to be completed. Winners will be determined using a point system and there are lots of prizes to be won, so dress your part, come with loads of team spirit and go all out.
