Stand by for gold standard comedy, when Melanie Kisten brings the funny to Suncoast’s Globe on 1 April, with her newest hit – Home Affairs.

After sold out houses for Big Amma & Biggs Locked Down, Who’s the Boss? – and The Bread, the Porridge & The Mix Masala, Melanie Kisten brings you another slick dance and drama production titled Home Affairs – Who’s fooling who?

Melanie, Krishna, Mayeshni and Kubeshan

This puts the spin on love and infidelity in a whacky yet interesting way. The story is based around two best friends, one who is bored in his marriage and the other who is a couple bob short of a rand. They confide in each other, spilling the beans about their discontented lives.

Then one of them, seeking a cure for his boredom, invites trouble into his life. He decides to meet a “hot babe” via social media. Tricked into believing he can have his bread buttered on both sides – enjoying a relationship outside his marriage while his friend covers his tracks – he discovers that his perfect life is about to turn upside down as his wife also has a hidden agenda.

Home Affairs guarantees to have the audience falling out of its seats at the antics of two friends who aren’t really good for each other. Enter a wife who nags, an inquisitive neighbour on the pry, a manipulative fortune teller, a girl who is lost, and a dance teacher who was found – and you have the makings of a right royal farce.

Melanie, Krishna and Mayeshni

Melanie Kisten together with her cast of comedy favourites Krishna Subrayen, Mayeshni Parsuram, Jordache Manganlal, Lyle D Chellan, Elaine Govender, Lucian Govender, Bhavanie Kisten, and Kubeshan (Kyra Kiki) Naidoo are set to take the audiences on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Also adding their own brand of wow factor to the mix is the sensational dance troupe of MKDA performing super-charged dance sequences choreographed by Desiree Kisten .

Home Affairs makes you feel the music, feel the story, feel the excitement – and fall in love all over again.
