Blue skies and sunshine brought this year’s Parklive Festival in Durban to a brilliant start and close. Groupies, families and friends packed the uMphafa Field at Botanical Gardens, armed with picnic baskets, blankets and camp chairs, to enjoy an epic afternoon of music by some of SA’s favourites including GoodLuck, Matthew Mole, Veranda Panda and Tanner Wareham, as well as international muso JP Cooper, who had a trail of admirers behind him as he left the stage to make his way to the merch table. The acclaimed British singer and songwriter, who performed in Durban for the first time, was overwhelmed by the support he was shown during his performance and gave up extra time to autograph and indulge in a few selfies with some of his biggest local fans.
