Swing & a hit

Fig Tree Farm, one of the Upper Highway’s most lively, local hangouts for all kinds of fun, food and festivals, just added a new dimension to its grounds. Four beautiful Padel courts that have been built to allow play in all weather conditions. In the company of media, pro padel players and key role players, owner of the farm Luke Bailes did the unveiling followed by a tour of the facilities, and a celebration of sparkling wine and canapés. Designed by GAPP Architects & Urban Designers, the courts are set in a rambling arrangement cascading down the hillside. Translucent roofing and sides gives a light and ethereal feel, and rough natural materials, weathered textures and muted tones provide a distinct contrast that aligns with the venue’s working farm aesthetic. The idea behind the courts is to provide additional opportunity for friends and families to gather and enjoy some much-needed downtime. Bookings: playtomic.io/fig-tree-farm-padel
