The timeless elegance of calligraphy took centre stage at Calligraphic Synergy, an inspiring exhibition hosted at the charming Country Bake Gallery in Musgrave. Curated by renowned calligrapher and artist Ingrid Lotter Smith, and multidisciplinary artist and calligrapher Sana-Bella Ebrahim. The exhibition, featuring everything from Arabic scripts steeped in centuries of sacred tradition to Roman lettering with contemporary flair, was designed to celebrate the fluid beauty of hand-crafted letters and delight art lovers, designers, wordsmiths and anyone enchanted by the poetic possibilities of pen and paper. Guest speaker Dr Eubulus Timothy also shared insights on the impact of globalisation on the transformation of calligraphy.
