Ladies brunch raises spirits and funds

It was a morning of singing, dancing and inspiration at the Careways Ladies Brunch Fundraiser. More than 150 women glammed up to attend the event at The Castle at Camelot, in support of Careways KZN who assist intellectually impaired adults and their families. In between talks by inspirational speakers including life coach Gail Whitear, and a scrumptious brunch, guests were kept entertained and on their toes by the melodies of local songbird Carmen Rodrigues, and the dazzling moves of dancing champs Kevin Ellis and Edlena Leslie-Smith. Funds raised will be used by Careways, who run workshops in Kloof and KwaNdengezi , to teach intellectually impaired adults a range of crafting skills, while also treating them to adventurous outings and camps that foster a sense of belonging within a caring, supportive community of friends.
