12 -13 April
Find the Easter Bunny
Hop over to Fig Tree Farm for an unforgettable basket full of pre-Easter weekend fun and adventure. There will be an egg-citing hunt, a market, the opportunity to meet and snap a photo with the Easter Bunny and prizes to be won. It’s all happening on April 12 and 13, with the Annual Easter Egg Hunt held daily from 10am to 2pm (it costs R150 a child) and you can explore a variety of local crafts, delicious treats and unique goodies at the Easter Market that runs daily from 9am to 4pm. If you find the Easter Bunny on your hunt, snap a photo and tag Fig Tree Farm on their socials, you can also stand to win a big, beautiful Easter basket hamper.

17,19 & 21 April
This year’s 16th edition of the Kearsney Easter Rugby Festival is set to be the biggest and best yet. With a record 28 teams participating, visitors can expect thrilling match-ups from 12 boys’ high school teams, 12 primary school teams and, for the first time, a girls’ U16 category. Durban High School, Westville, Glenwood and hosts, Kearsney College, will again represent KZN, with a visiting Zimbabwean team from Peterhouse Boys’ School bringing their special brand of rugby. They will be joined by perennial powerhouse teams from Gauteng – Dr EG Jansen (Boksburg) and Monument (Krugersdorp); as well as exciting Eastern Cape teams – Framesby (Gqeberha) and Dale College (Qonce), and Rustenburg (North West). Festival newcomers are Hoërskool Durbanville and Milnerton High from the Western Cape. There will be food and drinks stations throughout the festival, a KidZone plus ample of entertainment for the whole family. Catch all the talent, pace and agility on Thursday, April 17, Saturday, April 19 and Monday April 21. 17 – 21 April
Splashy Fen returns this year, again with an awesome line-up of international headliners, local legends and some fresh talent. In addition to all the bands and concerts, the festival, that takes place on farm grounds near Underberg over the long Easter weekend from April 17 to 21, will host the #LegendsoftheFen series, featuring unforgettable sets from Cinema, Perez, Madala Kunene, Can Of Worms SA, and The Black Lapels on the Splashy Fen Acoustic Stage. This year the organisers have also introduced a sixth stage – the MXD Fortress of Funk! For those pitching tents for more than just the music, there’s a whole lot of good vibes to enjoy through wellness and relaxation sessions, outdoor adventures like river rafting, mountain climbing and trail runs in the breath-taking Drakensberg surroundings, unique activities like craft markets, drum circles, parades, cocktail decks, family-friendly fun and a gourmet food and drinks feast.

From heart-pounding circuit racing to adrenaline-pumping stunt shows and drift rides, the Supertech Torque Motoring Festival promises non-stop action and fun for local petrolheads. Worth the drive, as it’s all going down at Dezzi Raceway in Port Shepstone on the South Coast. The event’s signature attractions include heart-pounding circuit racing, a legendary model showcase featuring BMW M cars like the iconic M3 and all-new M5, adrenaline-pumping stunt exhibitions and a spinning extravaganza with international and local stars like Didi Bizarro, Stacy May, Luke Williamson, Cameron Williamson, Kayla Oliphant, Preshu Singh and more. For the thrill-seekers, there’ll be first-hand drift rides, hot laps with the BMW Driving Experience team and helicopter flips for an added rush. But that’s not all – there will also be racing simulators, exclusive auctions, mainstage entertainment, an exclusive hospitality lounge and the stylish Torque Fashion Show. 25 – 26 April
If you’re a fan of Neil Diamond, don’t miss Diamond Forever a tribute to the legend, by Barry Thomson & The Reals, on April 25 and 26 at The Marquee, Westville Country Club, 1 Link Road, Westville. This must-see entertainment event is being presented by Local Live, and patrons can buy delicious Asian food at the onsite restaurant @Thai, or burgers, chicken prego or boerewors rolls in the marquee from Westville Rotarians. You may also bring your own picnic basket, but no alcohol may to be brought onto the property as there is a fully licenced bar. Doors open for the supper-theatre style event at 6.30pm for 7.30pm and tickets cost R190 each, with a portion of the proceeds going to The Rotary Club of Westville’s various projects.
