Electrifying performances and unstoppable 80s nostalgia filled the Botanic Gardens when Durbanites came out in their drones for Let’s Rock Durban. In spite of wet and gloomy weather leading up to the day, Let’s Rock, presented in association with BreakOut Events and East Coast Radio, is the UK’s most iconic festival and made its debut in Durbs with the likes of international legends Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey and Ultravox, and Visage’s lead singer, Midge Ure. They unleashed the festival’s raw energy alongside top South Africa acts Just Jinjer, PJ Powers, John Ellis from Tree63 and many more popular 80s and 90s local rock stars! The weather held, and the atmosphere – with loads of dress-up – offered something for every generation to enjoy.
