Consider these tips to reduce or prevent eyestrain

A number of South Africans have been working from home these last few days due to lockdown and we’re sure you feel the strain on your eyes. We’re spending a lot more time on screens than before … on your phone, TV, laptop and the list continues.

Here are a few tips from Execuspecs to prevent eye strain during this period:

  • Blink more, we tend blink less when working at our computers
  • Check your screen angle, incorrect angles can also cause neck and back strain – you should be looking slightly downwards at your screen, not up or straight ahead
  • Check the distance of your screen to your eyes – you should not be closer than arms -length
  • Check your brightness settings as well as your contrast settings, your screen should not be brighter than your surroundings
  • Make sure that you move away from your screen from time to time to give your eyes a break
  • Drink enough water, if you are hydrated then your eyes are hydrated

Although Execuspecs stores are not open during lockdown they can offer you their Home Try On Service
