We caught up with local aesthetic specialist, Dr Melinda Burger to find out more about lip fillers. It’s after all one of her absolute favourite procedures to do.

“We have to understand that there is a huge variety of fillers that are used for different outcomes. I love using a filler that creates soft natural plump lips that every woman dreams of. “Not only will filler enhance the lips, but it is also used to get rid of those fine lines around the lips including the marionette lines (lines from corner of the mouth to the chin) and nasolabial folds (deep lines stretching from the nose to the corners of the mouth).

These circles are in most cases caused by volume loss in the area. The procedure is quick and minimally invasive where filler is injected into the area by canulla. Not only does this reduce the dark circles, but also stimulates collagen production in the area allowing for even better results over time.
