Revamp calls for a revisit

It will be no surprise if you are familiar with The Centurion Hotel. Built in 1991, this long-standing hotel was a popular stayover option for visitors wanting to explore the area. Having been temporarily closed for the past three years, we are thrilled they reopened their doors with a new fresh outlook.

The areas open to both guests and the public have undergone a lift … all  modern flooring, reupholstered furniture, and a wonderful newly designed lounge area fitted with work pods, charging stations and the best part; high-speed internet access … so sit down, order a cup of coffee, and crack on with your daily tasks.

The Centurion Hotel’s newly renovated lounge is also the perfect place to settle in and work for the day. Beat the traffic, avoid load shedding and enjoy eight hours of uncapped Wi-Fi, bottomless coffee and a light lunch served to you at your work station.

There’s the great Bruno’s Restaurant where you can indulge in soups and salads, steaks and dishes from the sea … even a succulent Hungarian Beef Goulash. In the mornings, a continental style breakfast is ready and waiting for you.

After-work drinks can be enjoyed outside by the pool terrace or inside in their dining area, heated for the winter chill.

Having spent a night, we can tell you our stay was most comfortable … a spacious standard queen room, wide windows allowing plenty of natural light to come through, enough seating spots and plug points to set up and work. Mirrors (more than one) and decent cupboard space really do make all the difference when staying a few nights. Bonus is they offer twin rooms with two double beds conveniently opposite a standard room, perfect for families.

Just 500 meters from the Gautrain Station and 900 meters from the Supersport Park cricket grounds, it’s easy to get to … and for shoppers (yip! That’s us) you can directly access the Centurion Mall from the hotel.

We are also going to let you in on a little secret …  this hotel is undergoing a few more changes in the months to come that promises to engage with sport fanatics. Follow The Centurion Hotel on social media so you don’t miss out on the action.

The hotel forms part of the Legacy Hotels & Resorts, a night’s stay will cost from R655 per person sharing, including breakfast.
