As a Property Practitioner, Erna always dreamt of her own company. “A friend of mine, Johan Neethling, googled the name Erna, and realised it means ‘Eagle’ in Spanish, and that is how Aguila was born and established in 2016,” she said.
“By living out my mission and focusing on meaningful change in the industry, I strive to do what is right. With clear goals and a higher vision for life, I pursue them with determination, persistence, and confidence,” Erna further added about the joys of her job.
She said since wealth creation and time management are entirely within her control, there are no limits on how hard and smart she chooses to work.
“My monthly activity sheet allows time for enjoying outdoor activities as well as taking trips through our beautiful country, savouring delicious food and engaging in water activities on rivers and at sea.”
Family gatherings are also one of the real estate mogul’s favourite ways to unwind and relax.
Erna acknowledged that Aguila’s challenges include high interest rates, slow economic growth, lower bond approvals, overpriced property listings, debt, and high living costs but to overcome this, they focus on determining the correct market price for properties so that they can sell these properties rapidly at the highest market price in the shortest time, as a service to their clients.
Erna mentioned that practising effective time management daily, monthly and yearly is crucial for maintaining a work-life balance and essential for success in both business and family life.
