Lize Hunt is the CEO of CPI World. She describes herself as a dynamic, powerful, strong, kind and loving person.
“I am a woman who created an opportunity in a space where none was possible. Having the power to fight through all the barriers that life gives us and embracing the beauty in the lessons that God puts on our road to grow more,” she shares.
CPI World, founded in 2005 in a garage with a borrowed laptop, is a true testament to Lize’s resilience and vision.
“The company has been growing stronger with each year passing, and it has almost been 20 years now,” she says.
According to her, CPI World provides employment services, accurate staff payments, and payroll credit facilities, revolutionising the employment sphere with innovative solutions. “We are here to make history and make a mark for our future generations,” she asserts.
Lize takes pride in the fact that she started her company with no qualifications behind her name, but merely with experience and knowledge that she has taught herself from history and others’ stories.
“With all of this I was a single mother raising a daughter, despite the challenges and setbacks I was given. I had something to fight for and that was my power. The rest as they say, is history,” Lize shares.
Her career was inspired by survival and the drive to overcome her circumstances. “Survival was the beginning. Inspiration from my journey is what kept me going,’ she reflects. Now, her passion lies in witnessing the positive influence her work has on others.
As a woman in business, Lize believes in the natural abilities of women to lead, guide, and inspire. “We have the ability to change the world for the generations to come,” she says.
She emphasises the importance of love, strength, loyalty, and the power to influence, which are critical to building a successful team. “A business is nothing without the team understanding the importance of excellence and influence.”
Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is a priority for her. “Family and business are a combination that works for me. I believe in family first!” she explains.
Navigating daily business obstacles is a skill Lize has mastered. “Business has daily obstacles. I have learnt to live with it. This is why obstacles are an object that I just move through, it does not deter me at all.”
Outside of work, Lize enjoys being a private historian, indulging in art, books, travel, and good champagne. “I have time, since time is my own.”
