With over three decades of experience in the recruitment industry, Mirna Butler has built her business, Mirna Butler Recruitment, into a national service provider trusted by clients across various sectors.
Mirna started her company from the ground up in 2019, a venture she explains came to her by chance. What was meant to be a two-week temporary assignment turned into a successful career.
“From the very beginning, I was drawn to the fast pace, the people and the incredible opportunity to make a real impact in others’ lives – and I’ve never looked back,” she expresses.
Now, a business woman, Mirna has evolved with the development of the industry to cater to the needs of her clients. From placements in administration, finance, and sales to now offering background verification checks – such as credit, criminal and qualification verifications.
“I don’t just talk business – I do the work, stay involved, mentor others and create opportunities for fellow entrepreneurs, especially through networks like BNI and community platforms. I’m not afraid of change, and I take pride in offering a service that truly makes a difference,” she says.
Mirna believes in making time for the finer things in life. “I have an incredible team that supports me, which allows me to step back when needed and focus on personal time with my family when needed,” she adds.
Her team knows that certain occasions are non-negotiable when it comes to celebrating important milestones with her daughters and husband.
She is just as intentional with her personal downtime. Whether she spends her time crocheting a ball of yarn into a beautiful, finished piece, or reading a book … Mirna makes a conscious effort to create space in her schedule for the things that feeds her soul.
With a healthy work-life balance, a few things that make her stand out – her Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds perfume and her silver earrings her husband gave her for her 40th birthday.
“They’ve become my signature accessories and a subtle reminder of the support and love that grounds me, even in high-pressure moments,” she concludes.
