SHE MEANS BUSINESS: Mariana Lombard – Opulentia

Mariana Lombard is a director, shareholder, and financial advisor at Opulentia, specialising in short-term insurance, life cover, investments, and medical aid.

For Mariana Lombard, finance isn’t just a profession—it’s a calling. As a director, shareholder, and financial advisor at Opulentia, she brings both heart and precision to her work, helping clients feel secure, informed, and empowered.

Based on a farm with her husband and twin children, Mariana manages to balance the pace of rural family life with the demands of the financial world. Her journey in the industry began at reception, and through sheer determination and a strong work ethic, she steadily worked her way up. “I’m a driven person, and I was fortunate to have someone who recognised my potential and gave me the chance to grow.”

Mariana is passionate about making a difference. I don’t just work in finance—I live and breathe it. “Every client I help deserves to sleep better at night, knowing they’re protected. For me, it’s personal—not just a policy.”

Her days are structured with intent. From 08:00 to 16:30, she’s fully focused on her professional responsibilities. Evenings are reserved for wellness and family, while weekends are intentionally set aside for connection and relaxation. “Maintaining balance is essential. My time with family and friends grounds me and reminds me of my purpose.”

Outside the office, Mariana enjoys baking, running, and spending quality time with loved ones. These activities—usually enjoyed on weekends—serve as her way of recharging after a busy week filled with work, school activities, and exercise.
Confident and composed, her go-to power outfit is a pencil skirt paired with a tailored blazer and heels. As a young girl, she dreamed of becoming a teacher or a lawyer—both professions rooted in helping others. Today, she lives out that purpose in a different form, guiding people through their financial journeys with care and commitment.

One thing she never leaves home without? Her lipstick.
