Judge Bongi Dhlomo-Mautloa (Visual Artist)

On the winner: “Personally found that the artist put in a lot of sensitive thought into the making of the shoes.”

On the winner: “An artwork with palatable pathos that the choice of material and process viscerally conveys – well done!”

On runner-up: “This artwork has a humble approach, but it is executed with such an eloquent, refined skill, that it leaves one in awe.  It is a beautiful ode to women, particularly to his single parent mother.”
