Let’s discover your child’s next favorite story…

I Love You to the Moon and Back. It’s what we all tell our babes. This touch and feel storybook by Amelia Hepworth is a special gift book, with textures throughout to make story time even more special. It’s one of Exclusive Books recommended titles … we love it! Little Tiger, London

Dancing Duiker is an exceptionally fun alphabet activity book. First published in 1988, now republished by Revive! (who are bringing some of SA’s lost literary gems back to life), Thokozile Chaane’s book is a full-on activity adventure. There are notes to parents about the book, games to play while you read, suggestions on how to get the most out of each page, and then lovely pictures for children to colour it. Silly rhymes – Cat in a cot can cut cabbages, King kudu kicks a kettle in the kitchen – make it even more fun.
Another activity book to keep youngsters busy for hours is Heléne Booyens and Hélene Loon’s Bird Safari Activity Book … word search and puzzles and colour-by-number and quizzes and secret codes … with all the answers at the back of the book. Great fun. Penguin / Mapula Trust
Sisters. Twins. Nosisa was lovely. Fiki … not so much. From when she was a little babe, she was, well, nasty. Until one day an echo shows Fiki just how awful she is to others, and teaches her a lesson in how to be nice to other people. Fiki Learns to Like Other People by Lauretta Ngobo is another Revive! Book, first published in 1993 by Macmillan Press.
