JD Robb’s Stolen In Death kicks off with a murder and a vault of stolen treasures. And in this Eve Dallas thriller, her richest-man-in-the-universe, civilian consultant and hunky Irish husband Rouke is more involved than she’s comfortable with. Always enjoyable reads, set in the future. Macmillan

In Who Can You Trust by Susan Lewis, a woman has been in prison for 20 years, following the disappearance of her twin babies. Despite pleading innocence for two decades, she’s now confessed. And released. But for true crime podcaster Cristy, things just don’t add up. HarperCollins

Lost Lambs by Madeline Cash has received rave reviews from readers saying it’s laugh-out-loud funny and full of wit. It’s on the Exclusive Books’ must read list, too. It’s the story of three sisters, whose lives have been disastrous since their parents opened up their marriage – Odd romances with ex-soldiers and online terrorists, a nefarious billionaire and criminal conspiracies … there’s loads going on … but the humour is a little forced … yes, it’s great to laugh, but not at every sentence. Maybe it’s just us … let us know what you think. Doubleday

It’s Not What You Think, on the other hand, is just brilliant. Clare Mackintosh’s novel about a woman who thinks her husband is having an affair, but when she goes home from work to confront him, she finds her house has become a crime scene, and her husband is dead. Twist after twist … and every time you think you’ve worked it out … bam … another twist comes out of nowhere. Harper Collins
