Sports coaches, sportsmen and women, and many Durban medical practitioners (and of course Get It too) were invited to attend a workshop on concussions. Hosted by Debbie Cameron Physiotherapy at Hillcrest Medical Centre, the presentation by physiotherapists, Mark Waller and Megan Fryer, covered everything from what a concussion is to the risk factors and return-to-work and play protocol. Due to the success of the workshop, it will now be rolled out to teachers, parents, school nurses and amateur and professional sports coaches throughout KwaZulu-Natal.
