Animals took centre stage at the launch of the Compass Cares 2027 Calendar Campaign at Compass Medical Waste Services in Westville, where guests gathered to celebrate a project turning every page into purpose. This year’s calendars feature two themes, Born to Be Wild, celebrating South Africa’s incredible wildlife, and Breakthrough, sharing the stories of rescued cats and kittens given a second chance. Inspired by Ian and Judy du Randt’s love for animals, the annual Compass Cares initiative raises funds for organisations making a difference on the ground. This year’s KZN beneficiaries include CROW, St Francis, ARRC, Kitty Care, Feral Cat Rescue Trust, Feline Connection, SAFE Fostering Network and Kingdom Cats Sanctuary. There’s a calendar for every desk and wall, with prices starting at R100. New for 2027, the Born to Be Wild wall calendar also includes a handy year planner.
