Put your apron on, grab two mixing bowls and get started. No need to preheat the oven, as these little treats bake in the Air Fryer…bonus!

Recipe:

Makes: 16 doughnuts

Cooking time: About 15 min

Ingredients:

For the doughnuts, you will need:

  • 500ml self-raising flour
  • 60ml castor sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • Cinnamon, a generous pinch
  • 200ml Lancewood Double Cream Cinnamon Bun Yoghurt
  • 100ml melted butter, and extra for brushing
  • 125ml cinnamon sugar

For the crosses, you will need:

  • 125ml icing sugar, melted
  • 15ml water

Method:

Doughnuts:

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, castor sugar, salt and cinnamon together.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the yoghurt and butter together.
  3. Add the yoghurt mixture to the flour mixture and mix to form a soft dough.
  4. Roll into 18 smooth, even-sized balls.
  5. Place in the basket of the Air Fryer at 180 degrees Celsius for 7 minutes.
  6. Remove from the basket, and while still warm, brush with butter and roll in cinnamon sugar. Leave to cool.

Crosses:

  1. Mix the icing sugar and water together, adding a little bit of water at a time until the mixture becomes runny but still firm enough to keep its shape when piped.
  2. Spoon into a small plastic bag, snip off the corner and pipe crosses on the doughnuts.
